It’s tough out there in the job market - arguably even more so for therapists. The options vary so much: hospitals, community agencies, group practices, jails, rehab centers… and even if you know what you’re interested in, how do you know if it’s be the right place for you?
Without actually working somewhere for awhile, it’s impossible to predict for sure if a place will be a good fit. And of course, no job is perfect. However, in my time in the field, I’ve noticed some good clues that can help you make that call. Here I’ll share with you what things to look for in a job, what things to watch out for, and what to keep your eye on just in case. These tips can be useful for job searching online, as well as during or after an interview.
(I’ll make a separate similar post for flags to look for once you actually have the job - so stay tuned for that too!)
